Beta Tester Guide
Welcome to the EmpireOS V2 beta.
EmpireOS is a calm operating console for founders running one or many businesses. This page tells you what to try first, what is intentionally lightweight in V2, and how to give feedback that actually shapes what ships next.
EmpireOS is currently in beta. Features and guidance may change. Please use your own judgment before making business decisions based on beta outputs.

Demo, Local, and Cloud — which mode am I in?
Demo. Sample businesses for exploration. Mutations are blocked so you can't break it.
Local. Your real records, saved in this browser. Great for solo testing, but data won't follow you to another device.
Cloud. Sign in once and your data is backed by your account so it survives browsers and devices. Recommended for real testing.
Switch modes in Data Sources.
How to test EmpireOS
First impression
Does the dashboard immediately tell you the state of the business?
Setup flow
Did Onboarding + Guided Setup feel calm or noisy?
Daily workflow
Does the CEO Brief → Action Queue → Activity loop fit a real morning?
Data entry
Is Quick Add fast enough? Anything you wanted to log that wasn't there?
Intelligence / CEO Brief
Did any signal feel wrong, missing, or noisy?
Team / accountability
Are owners, assignments, and gaps clear?
Records / comments / approvals
Did approvals and comments feel useful or in the way?
Templates
Did a starter pack save you time vs. a blank business?
Linked records
Were you able to connect related work (e.g. deal → offer)?
Feedback friction
Did anything stop you from using the app for a real day?
Founder use-cases to try
- Solo founder setting up their first operating system from a starter pack
- Consultant managing offers, clients, and weekly actions
- Course creator organising offers, SOPs, and launch tasks
- Multi-business founder using Empire View to scan portfolios
- CEO reviewing CEO Brief + Action Queue first thing each morning
Known limitations — intentionally lightweight in V2
- Team membership is a permissions model — true enforced multi-user access is planned.
- Invite Flow Lite tracks invites in-app; real invite email + acceptance is coming later.
- CEO Brief and recommendations are rule-based — no AI/LLM yet.
- External integrations (Google Sheets, CRM, calendar, email) are not connected yet.
- Scheduled notifications, email/Slack delivery, and automations are not active yet.
- Mobile/tablet is usable but not fully optimised.
- Billing / subscriptions are not live yet.
- Some flows fall back to local storage depending on mode — safe to test manually.
Full phase plan on the Roadmap.
What we want to hear
- What confused you?
- What felt useful?
- What felt unnecessary?
- What did you expect but not find?
- What would make this easier to use daily?
- Did the demo / local / cloud difference make sense?
- Did the CEO Brief feel useful?
- Did the setup guidance help?
- What would you pay for, if anything?
When reporting an issue, please include what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you expected to happen. If easy, also mention the page/area, your browser/device, urgency, and whether we can follow up.
What not to expect yet
AI-generated briefs, autonomous agents, scheduled email/Slack, real invite email acceptance, full enforced multi-user team access, SSO/WorkOS, PDF export, advanced analytics, graph visualisation, billing, and broad data imports are roadmap — not shipped in V2.
